Hello, I’m Mason Ortiz — a third-year Architecture student at the University of Florida, minoring in Sustainability.

My work explores the intersection of architecture, sound design, and resilience, with a focus on visuo-auditory acoustics that foster passive spatial resilience.

I believe resilience emerges when architecture is approached as both a composition and visceral experience—where diagrammatics evoke follies that embody an ethereal, living logic that resonates to the structure.

Professionally, I have positioned myself within the interstices of the built environment, moving from hands-on maintenance to my forthcoming role as a Design CAD Technician with the College of Engineering, contributing across facility projects. I see both experiences as integral to deepening my understanding of resilience and its responsibility within the complex urban fabric of a prominent collegiate body.
