About Me

Zara is an architect and urban designer with nearly ten years of experience in architectural practice, urban planning, and spatial research. She is the co-founder and Principal Architect at ZMX Architectural Practice, as well as a co-founder and researcher at RUX, an urban and regional development consultancy. Currently pursuing her PhD at Waseda University in Japan, Zara focuses on the relationship between built form and human experience, with an emphasis on public space design, urban resilience, and context-sensitive development. Her work bridges academic research and practical design, informed by international collaborations and projects across Armenia and abroad.
Zara’s approach is rooted in architectural clarity, spatial quality, and responsiveness to urban dynamics. She is particularly interested in creating inclusive, livable environments that reflect cultural identity, social needs, and long-term sustainability.
