News Update
Due to a number of unanticipated challenges, the ASAI Board has made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Architecture in Perspective (AIP) Competition and Conference.
Jim Kessler has agreed to continue for a second year as ASAI President, and with the help of the Board and Advisory Committee, will make preparations for an expanded Conference in the Fall of 2024, at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
We have arrived at this decision with some regret, but also an abundance of optimism.
The postponement will enable our organization to rebuild the momentum of ASAI’s ongoing agenda to engage the entire architectural visualization community, and to confirm the status of the Competition, the Conference, and the Exhibition as significant annual events for our members, associates and clients.
We recognize that efforts have already been made to assemble and submit artwork, and plans may already have been made to attend the conference this year. We guarantee that this year’s membership fees will be applied to next year, or reimbursed on request, and with the entrant’s agreement, any submissions to this year’s competition will be held over for next year’s jury.
ASAI remains committed to its original mandate: to promote excellence in architectural illustration, and to bring together professional illustrators, designers, students and interested individuals to share their thoughts, experiences and state-of-the-art knowledge. We remain committed to exhibiting the best of the best from the architectural visualization community, as we have for the past 38 years.
We will continue to honor the rich tradition of our profession, while working towards improving our craft by broadening our community around the globe, creating reciprocity with allied organizations, and staying at the cutting edge of changing technologies, economies and professional interests.
And we hope you will join us in this conversation.
Thank you for your understanding and your continuing support. More to follow!
