The American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) is an international nonprofit organization. Membership is open to anyone engaged in the serious pursuit of architectural illustration—professionals, amateurs and students—from around the globe.
Each year, ASAI invites its members to take part in Architecture in Perspective (AIP)—an international juried competition that recognizes the world’s best architectural illustrations. Submitted artworks may be created in any 2D medium and may include drawings, paintings, renderings, and digital imagery.The AIP 39 Competition deadline is May 1st, 2025, 11:59pm EST.
Selected artists will be featured on the website and awards will be given out during the Conference, to be held this year in Tokyo, Japan, October 1 – 3, 2025. All award-winning entries and honorable mentions will be published online and in a commemorative Architecture in Perspective catalog.

Founded in 1986 in the United States, the ASAI is comprised of professional illustrators, architects, designers, teachers, students, corporations, and anyone engaged in the serious pursuit of architectural illustration. The central purpose of ASAI remains the improvement of architectural drawing worldwide.
